A proud person is unable to forgive because forgiveness is an acknowledgement that perhaps they are not perfect.
And if I am not perfect, then I need to change.
If I am absolutely right, then I don’t need to change.
But if I am not absolutely right, if there is something, which provoked some external events, and I am not right, then I need to change.
But personal change is a very painful process.
For a proud person, the higher his pride, the less focus he has on love and the more difficult it is for him to change and he will turn to self-destruction.
