What does it mean 'to eat for God’? 

It is very simple.

The soul came from God.

So eating should first of all be in the interests of the heart.

If we’re not hungry anymore, if the heart is satisfied – then that’s enough food.

The heart will always be satisfied before the stomach is.

If we concentrate on the sense of satiety, we will finish eating exactly when we need to.

If we focus on the pleasure derived from eating for the stomach, we will always overeat.

I personally know this very well.
