Ibrahim lived comfortably. He had a wife, servants and livestock. He had everything in his life apart from children. When it was time for him die, he saw God in his sleep, who says to him ‘take everything and leave.’ We question - What was this for? What was the logic? But there was a logic to this.
We can’t predict the Divine logic and foresee all our options for the future.
But when the Almighty wills it and gives us his command, we must follow this command.
The most important question then is - how will we recognise this command?
In the past I would say - when your desires come from your head - namely 'someone else has something and I want it too', and then this desire disappears. Then don’t worry as this is a personal wish.
But when a desire comes from your gut, your heart or your chest, and this desire is long lasting, and not a fleeting wish, then we need to listen to it and take note.
As I have mentioned before, illnesses occur or death results when a person doesn’t want to fulfil his destiny.
I have previously talked of a woman on TV. She had worked as a doctor when she discovered she had an incurable brain cancer.
When an inner voice said that she has to become a shaman, she looked into it and followed this advice by becoming a shaman. Her brain tumour subsequently disappeared.
