— What's the best way to start working on oneself? — she asked.
— First, try not to judge people, not to think or speak ill of them.
— But how can we not judge wicked people, is that even possible? If we tolerate their existence, they will take over all the power and rule us. Isn’t that what’s happening in the world right now?
— We should fight against them, we can compete with them, but we cannot judge them. Judging is a form of killing on a subtle plane, where we are all united.
Trying to kill another, we kill ourselves, that is, we activate our self-destruction program.
— Still, I don't understand how it's possible not to judge scoundrels. If I don’t judge them, it means I accept them as they are. If I don’t resist, I’ll become like them.
— Exactly, — I agreed, — In the framework of pagan thinking, hatred and contempt for scoundrels and villains are normal; it is considered a form of protection.
But if a person is at a higher level of development, such emotions can lead to serious consequences. A monotheist's energy is much stronger, and their capabilities at this level are much more extensive. The Old Testament states that one should not rejoice at the death of an enemy. And the New Testament explicitly says: «Love your enemies.»
In defending against enemies, we should fight them, we can even kill them, but we cannot hate them. Since God is in every person, how can we despise and hate anyone, regardless of who they are? To learn not to despise villains and scoundrels, one needs to become a monotheist, to move into the coordinate system of monotheism. This requires dialectical thinking, which allows us to understand that everything is Divine, but good and evil exist externally.
People who embody evil need to be educated, helping them transform sin into virtue. Dividing the entire world into black and white automatically means worshipping the good and desiring to destroy the bad. But the world is one, the world is Divine, and aggression towards anyone sooner or later turns into aggression towards God.
Christ said, «Render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and unto God the things that are God's.»
A person who truly believes in God must live in two coordinate systems simultaneously—the Divine and the human. Inside every person, there must be absolute non-resistance to evil, love, unity, while externally there must be competition, which implies resistance and struggle.
The main law of development is the law of unity and struggle of opposites. Without love and unity, opposites destroy each other, and if there is no struggle between them, they begin to mix. In both cases, development becomes impossible.
Externally, an enemy must remain an enemy, but at the same time, it is necessary to understand that on a higher plane we are united with them, that on a subtle plane all people have a unified, common soul. When we interact with someone and a conflict arises, the first thing to do is to feel unity with our opponent, otherwise, communication will not be successful.
Remember the words of Mowgli: «We are of one blood, you and I.» R. Kipling was a talented writer, he understood: to reach an agreement with someone and jointly solve a problem, one must start with unity, with love. One must be able to separate the wheat from the chaff. Since God is one, since He is the Source of all, then everything is Divine by its essence.
Thus, a person has no right to hatred and contempt for anyone or to despair, which is hatred towards oneself. We must learn to rejoice, to love, to forgive. And at the same time, we must be tough, strict, coerce others into development, into morality, and punish them if they do not want to change. The one who is harmonious, who strives for development, survives — this is a normal life process. And there can be no development without love.
