Unity with God

The main aspect of knowing the Creator is not thought, but feeling. People must learn to love, to sacrifice, to live by the heart, not by the mind. Essentially, this is what Christianity teaches.

However, stereotypes hinder people and pull them backward.

Since the level of love in Christianity is very high (I would call it the intensity of love), it allows for the possibility of reconciling opposites in such a mindset.

Yet, Christ’s followers thought in a fragmented, linear way—they could see only one side of the process, forgetting the other. This is likely why the spirit was placed at the forefront.

Believers often accuse me of distorting the Bible while supposedly relying on it.

But in reality, I base my ideas only on my own research, and I quote the Bible so that people can understand what I am trying to convey to them.

I fully agree with the information presented in the Old Testament, and I’ve only recently come to understand the enormous significance of what Jesus Christ said.

However, I don’t always agree with the opinions of his followers; sometimes my research leads me to a different perspective.

What matters most to me is being sincere and honestly sharing the conclusions I’ve drawn and the understanding of the Scriptures that I’ve reached. Everything else should not concern me too much.

I strive to understand the world, to find happiness, and I share my experience.

«It’s strange,» I think, «many people consider themselves believers, yet few truly understand the essence of prayer.» Most people believe in God only as long as it doesn't infringe upon their interests.

The entire meaning of their faith revolves around fulfilling their own desires and achieving their personal goals. For them, the Creator is merely a tool for granting their wishes, and no one considers that this is the mindset of a pagan.

A pagan thinks this way: if a god fails to fulfill their desires, they can smash that idol and worship a new, stronger one.

For a pagan, God is just a means to an end.

If their desires aren't fulfilled, they stop believing. If the expected protection isn't there, why believe, worship, or pray?

The first and foremost of the Ten Commandments says: «I am the Lord your God; you shall have no other gods before Me.»

At the same time, the highest commandment in both Judaism and Christianity is this: «Love God above all else.»

At first, I couldn’t understand why these two commandments seem to speak of entirely different things. Can two commandments really be the most important? There can only be one first and foremost commandment.

Years passed, and eventually, I understood the meaning of this mystery.

In reality, it is one and the same commandment, which outwardly divides into opposites.

If God is one, then everything created by Him is also unified.

You can feel that God is one when you love the whole, not just a part.

If I love someone or something more than anything else in the world, it means that part is more important to me than the whole.

And in that case, I physically won’t be able to feel that God is one.

I will attach each of my attachments or goals to a specific deity.

Why did faith and religion begin with sacrifice?

Because to feel the whole, you need to let go of the part.

Thus, kindness, sacrifice, and compassion, on one hand, helped in letting go, and on the other, contributed to a sense of unity with the entire universe and the Creator.

One who wants to receive much more than they give will never learn to love. Because sacrifice, patience, and compassion will be unacceptable to them.

Imagine you ask a person for something every day, and they always grant your requests. Be honest: will you love them? Unlikely.

Because you aren’t sacrificing, you aren’t caring, you aren’t giving. And if, in your prayers to God, you only ask for things: will you feel love for Him? Unlikely.

As a result, most prayers contradict the first commandment.

Because prayer should be a declaration of love.

Through prayer, a person should unite with the Creator and become like Him. To receive, you first must give.

And if we only ask and demand from God, this same model of behavior will extend to all the people around us, both near and far.

Consumerism and pleasure are interconnected.

Love is always tied to sacrifice, love gives and receives. Pleasure, however, is only about receiving.

I didn’t understand before why people overly focused on sex become selfish and greedy. I simply observed that greed, envy, and jealousy are phenomena of the same nature.

And then I realized: sex is pure pleasure. But when you restrain your desires, that, in essence, is called sacrifice.

Periodic restraint in food and sex is voluntary self-denial. In this way, energy is directed toward love, not the body or mind.

Sexual indulgence not only harms the ability to love, but it also makes a person selfish and pushes them toward sins and crimes.

If the foundation is destroyed, the entire building will inevitably collapse. By abandoning the first commandment, a person will inevitably end up breaking all the others.

Sin will become a virtue for them. Christianity teaches that sin leads to death.

Christ spoke about how sin leads to illness. The essence of any sin is the loss of striving toward God, the destruction of unity with the Creator.

This results in the loss of love and the gradual depletion of the main reserves of energy that exist within every person's soul.

«Who knows?» I think. «But it seems that the universal experiment of breaking the main commandments is coming to an end. And how it will end is fairly clear. It's enough to reread the Pentateuch of Moses.»

I have no doubt that people will go through the destruction of the old consciousness and survive. A new consciousness will emerge, one inseparably linked with love.

The new worldview will not worship sex and well-being. Women will learn to love and give birth.

But this will probably happen not now, but a bit later.

«There’s no need to dramatize the situation,» I think, «everything is born, lives, and dies.» The old way of thinking is also dying now. The most important thing is that people do not die along with their ideas.

The end of the world can mean the end of the old way of thinking, or it can mean the end of that thinking along with its bearers.

Religious representatives often speak of the end of the world as a physical process, but it is first and foremost a spiritual process: all events happen on a subtle plane first and only then in the physical.
