What Path Leads to Atheism? Causes and Consequences
The meaning of the universe's development is for the outer shell, constantly changing, to increasingly approach the Creator and ultimately unite with Him. In its development, form must reach the level of content. When they become identical, development ends. Therefore, it is important to understand that a person is essentially Divine, but in form, he is far from perfect.
In a typical situation, we either deify the human shell (body, consciousness, and the transient part of the soul) or deny and fail to see God neither in the surrounding world nor in a person. Christ probably came so that people could see with their own eyes how the Divine and human can unite, not excluding each other and not merging into one.
«Do you know, by the way, how atheists appear?» I continued. «Have you ever thought about why God allows atheists to exist?»
The essence of this phenomenon is as follows. Sometimes a person has a choice to become a devil or an atheist. Usually, a person chooses the latter. Let me explain why this happens. If we believe that God is somewhere far away, then, communicating with the world and interacting with it, we inevitably begin to attach to it and worship it. Worshipping a person enhances pride because an individual person is the body and consciousness. At the soul level, we are all united; worshipping a group of people leads to the worship of the soul. One person is body and consciousness, but a group of people is consciousness and soul. So, an incorrect worldview in our subconscious creates a tendency that lives, develops, and gains momentum.
People often told me about strange metamorphoses that occurred to them when they prayed. Some began to feel sleepy, others yawned uncontrollably, and some felt like swearing. I explained to all of them that when they pray to God, it happens only externally. Their soul, meanwhile, habitually prays and worships consciousness. In the subconscious, pride intensifies, devilry begins, and then protective processes are activated that should mute, extinguish consciousness, humiliate it. A person prays, and he is drawn to alcohol. Another prays - and begins to swear, demeaning spirituality and ideals. It is known that Seraphim of Sarov swore for a long time and could not overcome this habit. And he smoked a lot. There were even publications that he died because of this.
The fact is that the great spiritual power and superhuman abilities that the elder manifested could overshadow love, and he tried to overcome this through the humiliation of consciousness and body. By tormenting his body, subjecting it to severe trials, the elder felt that his soul became lighter. But if we see God in a person, but cannot separate them and worship the person as God, then in this case, jealousy intensifies. Worship of the soul is worship of high feelings, worship of pleasure, and it inevitably turns into jealousy. Worship of a person becomes worship of the happiness that he gives us. Our subconscious strengthens and develops this tendency, and subconsciously we begin to worship desire. It creates a paradox: a person prays to God, but his jealousy and lustfulness intensify. And then, after prayer, he wants to eat - heartily, a lot, and deliciously. Or during prayer, sexual scenes appear before his eyes. It is incredibly difficult to fight this. Concentration on love for the Creator must be very high, only then can extremes be overcome. Then we can see God in everything and at the same time recognize the weakness and imperfection of an individual person. Only someone with a sufficiently developed soul and a lot of love can simultaneously see God and a person in a living being.
Others fall into extremes, and during prayer, either desire or pride intensifies. And if they also violate the commandments, harming their soul, then this process accelerates many times over. Aggressiveness intensifies sharply, followed by diseases, decay, and destruction. A person feels all this and intuitively, in order to survive, stops praying and declares himself an atheist. And after that, he feels that his soul becomes lighter. This is frank, sincere atheism.
There is also another opposite - hidden, implicit atheism. It looks like this. A person feels that sincere prayer begins to harm his soul. Especially when, praying, he asks more than he thanks and gives. Then the person internally refuses to pray, while maintaining the external form. He mutters the words of the prayer, but in reality, there is no prayer anymore. Such a person often considers himself a believer and calls himself a believer, but in fact, he is an atheist. However, even the formal recitation of prayers and the performance of rituals still strengthen the inner energy. Lustfulness and pride may intensify in such a believer, he may behave immorally. And the main thing he clings to is the strict, unswerving performance of rituals and rites. This process can be described in another coordinate system, related to the Ten Commandments. If you violate the first, you are doomed to violate the second. And then, whether you like it or not, the violation of all the others will begin.
The first commandment states: God is one.
That means, when we do not see God in a person, it is a violation of the first commandment.
The Creator exists beyond everything and at the same time in everything.
What happens if we worship a person as God and at the same time do not see God in a person? This is idolatry. Pride grows, denial of the single Creator intensifies, and this eventually leads to atheism. What happens when we worship a person as God, seeing God in him? Worship of the soul, worship of desire intensifies. The greatest aggression is not associated with the body, not with the worship of the body. Worship of consciousness, spirit, generates much greater aggression. And worship of the soul, which is immeasurably larger than consciousness, produces maximum aggression. In principle, this is quite logical. The soul is closest to God; its energy is the strongest. Therefore, an incorrect subconscious worldview produces the greatest aggressiveness. This mechanism is described in the Bible. The devil's name is Lucifer, that is, "shining"; he is an angel with the strongest energy, the greatest possibilities.
The higher the level of energy, the closer to God, the more catastrophic must be the loss of unity with the Creator. When we see God in a person and in the surrounding world, such a worldview is an order of magnitude higher than primitive idolatry, which does not see the single Creator, as well as monotheism, which recognizes the single Creator but believes that He is somewhere far away. The higher we rise, the more temptations await us. The closer we are to God, the higher our energy, and the greater the temptation to forget about love. Therefore, a person with weak love and an undeveloped soul may simply not withstand the simultaneous vision of both the human and the Divine. And then, in order to survive, he either becomes an atheist or moves to a lower level of monotheism: God is one, God rules the universe, but He is somewhere far away.
Probably, in order to survive in the near future, people will need to receive a new portion of Divine energy. And for this, it is necessary to overcome any forms of worship of the human. It will be necessary to preserve love for God not only in the humiliation and destruction of the body but also in the humiliation of the spirit and soul. Otherwise, the incoming Divine energy will increase in the soul not love, but lustfulness and pride.
